Description
(1) A Playbill for Where’s Charlie, playing at the St James Theatre, featuring Ray Bolger as Charley Wykeham. The play premiered in October, 1949. This performance was during the week of June 27, 1949. He later received a Tony Award for his role / performance. A used ticket stub accompanies. The Playbill is taped and glued to a scrapbook that is aged and deteriorating. The ticket stub is taped to the scrapbook page. [ Ray Bolger is best known for his role as the scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, MGM’s 1939 classic movie. ] (2) Glued to the back of the same scrapbook page, a Program for Radio City Music Hall – Showplace of the Nation, during the week of June 23, 1949. (3) A program for Where’s Charlie with biographies and numerous pictures of actors glued to a scrapbook page. (4) Glued to the back of that scrapbook page, a Playbill for South Pacific, playing at the Majestic Theatre, featuring Mary Martin and Ezio Pinza for a performance during the week of June 27, 1949. Accompanied by a ticket stub. Each Playbill measures about 9 H x 6 1/2 W inches. The program measures about 11 3/4 H x 8 3/4 W. The shipping size will be slightly larger because of the scrapbook paper overlap.
Condition: Removed from a scrapbook. Still attached to the paper – as pictured – by tape and or glue.
