Lot 254:
Description
Lot of 8 – Small flat replica bags – boxes: Lowney s Cocoa – Fleischmann s Yeast – Edison Mazda Lamps – Gordon Codfish – Necco Wafers – Mennen s Borated Talcum Powder – Takhoma Biscuit [ cute name, read it out loud ] – Diamond Crystal Salt. Designed to slide into / fit into a slot on small, round wood stands. We do not know their intended purpose. Just an opinion / guess, these may be early shelf talkers, designed to be displayed when the store was out of the product. Alternatively, they may have been intended for use with a children’s dollhouse or play grocery store. The tallest – Edison Mazda Lamps – is about 2 3/8 H. The widest – Takhoma Biscuit – is about 2 1/4 W. All of the bases are about 5/8 inches diameter.
Condition: As pictured. The thin cardboard tab that slides into the wood base on most is fraying or sufficiently beat-up from use that displaying them properly is difficult – that is, they do not easily slide into the base and stand up.
Dimensions: 2 x 5 x 1 in
Weight: 0.03 lb
